Department HistoryAreas of consultancy and income generated:
Vermicompost Project: The vermicompost project was initiated in our college premise on September 17th 2018 by the Secretary Sr. Margaret Inbaseeli, Principal Sr. Mary Pramila Santhi and Head of Department Sr.Anne Flowrence. Vermicompost was first harvest on 21st September, 2018. Approximately 7 kg vermicompost was harvested per week. The vermicompost was sold at the rate of Rs 10 per Kg for the farmers.
Azolla Project: Azolla project was initiated on 8th December 2018, by Kanchipuram DIG, Ms.Thenmozhi., IPS. The Azolla was sold at the rate of Rs 20 per Kg for the housewife and farmers.
Awards/ Recognitions received by faculty and students:
Our students has participated in the one day seminar organized by the Department of Zoology, MVM College held during 28th January 2018 and own second and third prizes in poster presentation on Avian Diversity.
